Consular section reception hours
Advanced appointment (e-Registration) is required for:
- Processing documents for the replacement and issuance of Lithuanian passports and/or ID card;
- Performing notarial acts;
- Submitting citizenship documents;
- Submitting documents for legalisation;
- Other consular services:
Consular Certificates. Issuance of certificates regarding driver’s license data, criminal record, marital status, declared place of residence, etc. The documents can also be submitted by post. More information can be found here.
Civil Status Registration. Registration of birth, marriage, divorce, and death in Lithuania (without submitting a passport application). More information can be found here.
Name or Surname Change (for reasons unrelated to marriage or divorce). More information can be found here.
Civil Status Extracts. Official extracts certifying records such as birth, marriage, divorce, death, and name/surname changes. The documents can also be submitted by post. More information can be found here here.
Request for Documents from Lithuanian Institutions. Examples include: Certificate from the Civil Registry Office confirming the absence of obstacles to marriage with apostille or legalized. Certificate or extract from the Register of Suspected, Accused, and Convicted Persons of the Information Technology and Communications Departament under the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Lithuania with apostille or legalized. Registration is Not Required For:
- Apply for an emergency travel document for a trip to Lithuania. More information can be found here.
- Declaration of departure from Lithuania. The documents can also be submitted by post. More information can be found here.
- Invalidating a lost personal identity document.
- Requesting a certificate confirming the fact that a person is alive and lives in a certain area (for "Sodra"). More information can be found here.
- Legalization of documents issued by the Republic of Lithuania. The documents can also be submitted by post. More information can be found here.
You can apply for these services without registration during the following consular reception hours: Monday - Friday: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM.
