Documents to be submitted

Please note that the Schengen visa application shall be lodged 6 months before the start of the intended visit, but no later than 15 calendar days before the start of the intended visit.

In justified individual cases of urgency, the visa authority of the Republic of Lithuania or the central authorities may allow the lodging of applications later than 15 calendar days before the start of the intended visit.

Applications shall be decided on within 15 calendar days of the date of the lodging of an application which is admissible. That period may be extended up to 45 calendar days in individual cases, notably when further scrutiny of the application is needed.

The documents to be submitted for a visa depend on the purpose of your trip and whether or not you are a family member of an EU/EEA/EFTA citizen.

All applicants for a visa are required to submit the following:

  1. The Schengen visa application form must be completed on the following website: https://www.migracija.lt/service/uzsienieciams?lang=en#v-sv-isduoti-sengeno-viza (to access the application form, choose your nationality from the list, then select the Schengen visa application form and create your login).
  2. A passport with two blank visa pages, valid for at least 3 months beyond the intended departure from the Schengen area. Please note that only passports that have been issued (not extended!) during the past 10 years can be endorsed with a visa. If your passport is older than 10 years, please apply for a new passport.
  3. UK residence permit and its copy (valid for at least 3 months beyond the return date from the Schengen area)/Immigration status ‘share code’.
  4. One recent (not older than 1 month) colour photo with white background following A Photograph Guidelines.

Please follow the relevant link for additional supporting documents to be provided:

In individual cases, applicants may be required to submit additional documentation or information when such a need appears during the examination of an application.

IMPORTANT:

If you use your visa to travel mainly to another Schengen State, or if you cancel hotel bookings after you received visa, your next visa might be refused.
