Applying for an Identity Card and Passport at External Service Centres
Lithuanian citizens living in the United Kingdom can apply for the issuance or renewal of identity documents at three External Service Provider (VFS Global) centres:
London — 66 Wilson Street, EC2A 2BT London, UK.
Manchester — 50 Devonshire Street North, M12 6JH Manchester, UK.
Edinburgh — 1 Rennie’s Isle, EH6 6QT Edinburgh – Leith, UK.
At VFS Global centres, you can apply for:
- the issuance or renewal of an identity card (ID card);
- the issuance or renewal of a passport only if you also apply for the issuance or renewal of an ID card (ID card + Passport). You cannot apply for a passport only.
and if the following conditions apply:
- your personal details have not changed;
- you or the minor child you represent already have an identity document — a passport or ID card. The document may be valid or expired.
VFS Global centres do not accept applications for:
- the issuance or renewal of a passport only;
- an EU Emergency Travel Document or a temporary passport;
- changing your first name, surname, date of birth, place of birth, sex or personal identification number in an identity document;
- the first identity document for a child;
- the first identity document after acquiring Lithuanian citizenship;
- issuing a new identity document if your only identity document has been lost.
For these consular services, you must apply at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the United Kingdom. You can find information about making an appointment at the Embassy here.
