"VANISHING WAVES" BY KRISTINA BUOŽYTĖ AT THE LONDON SCI-FI FILM FESTIVAL
A film by Lithuanian director Kristina Buozyte called Vanishing Waves is to be screened at the Sci-fi Londonfilm festival. The film will be screened at Stratford Picturehouse cinema at 6 pm on Saturday, the 4th of May. Tickets can be booked by clicking on the time of a film or by calling 0871 902 5740 (9.30am - 8.30pm).
Vanishing Waves explores the speculative science of neural transfer, when an inhibited young man agrees to take part in an experiment to enter the mind of an anonymous coma patient. At times this innovative film is like a European version of Tarsem Singh’s The Cell, minus the serial killer and colourful visuals, and with more nudity and angst. At its core however, is a story of love, sacrifice and a search for freedom and a real identity.
Vanishing Waves was already successful at Spanish SITGES, USA Fantastic Fest, Lithuanian Sidabrine Gerve and Carlsbad film festivals.
Co-writer and director K. Buozyte will join the audience for a Q&A session after the screening.
