Martynas and SinChronic quartet to perform at the Royal Albert Hall
Lithuanian accordion star Martynas Levickis and the string quartet SinChronic will perform, at the Royal Albert Hall Elgat Room on Monday 10 November at 8.00pm.
The accordion is probably most closely identified with folk music from Eastern Europe and South America, but young Lithuanian virtuoso Martynas Levickis aims to prove that it can perform music beyond these boundaries. His selftitled debut album on Decca is a riotous ride through a rainbow of styles, all of them artfully tailored and arranged to show off Martynas' brilliant playing. From Beethoven to Vivaldi, Ennio Morricone to Lady Gaga, he takes the accordion around the world and back and forth across the centuries.
SinChronic, a quartet bound in the same musical philosophy, ideas and four very different, yet equally inspired personalities, formed in 2013 for a concert with Martynas. The group is comprised of Kristina Morozova, Giedre Zarenaite (violins), Vytenis Lisauskas (viola), and Igne Pikalaviciute (cello).
