THE PROJECT TO BRING THE PRODUCTS OF THE LITHUANIAN FOOD COMPANIES TO THE UK HAS STARTED

On 24-25 April Lithuanian Embassy in the UK and Enterprise Lithuania successfully completed two days event in Vilnius which was aimed at helping Lithuanian food companies learn more about the UK market entry.

The Lithuanian ambassador in the UK Dr Oskaras Jusys noted that a different approach had been chosen and the project was aimed at providing the professional help of the UK consultants to help the Lithuanian companies enter the UK market.

“I am certain that information and advice on the UK market, its trends and the buying process of retailers, wholesalers, and in the food servicing is extremely valuable and relevant for the Lithuanian food companies”, said the ambassador.

Lithuanian companies had a lengthy interviews with the consultants and received the immediate feedback on their products, packaging and, if there was one, their chosen strategy to enter the UK market. Based on the results, Enterprise Lithuania selected a few companies the products of which were mostly suitable and which were best prepared for the long and financially as well as administratively demanding entry process.

"I am very proud to know that there are many innovative Lithuanian food companies with great products which are very suitable for the UK market and I believe there will be more of our goods on the shelves of the shops in the UK“, said the ambassador.
