Temporary Service Point for Personal Identity Document Issuance and Renewal in Boston (UK)

On May 30-31, 2025, VFS Global, the external service provider (ESP) selected by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, will be accepting citizens of Lithuania for the renewal and issuance of personal identity documents. This service will be available at a temporary location: 4 Fountain Place, Boston, PE21 6BF, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
The following services will be offered:
- Issuance or renewal of a passport and ID card together.
- Issuance or renewal of an ID card only.
Steps to apply:
- Register in the "MIGRIS" system:
- Create an account (you can use your email address) and submit an e-request at migracija.lt. Please refer to the instruction how to fill out the MIGRIS e-request.
- In the e-request select the department ‘United Kingdom - LONDONAS (ESP)’ and choose the option to receive the document by post/courier. In the notes section write ‘BOSTON’.
- Register for your appointment:
- Once you receive an email confirming the approval of your e-request, please register for an appointment at the temporary service location by contacting VFS Global at lonltpp@vfsglobal.com. Please include the following details in your email:
- MIGRIS e-request number (compulsory):
- Name:
- Surname:
- Temporary service point location: Boston
Important information:
- You must bring a valid or expired identity document (passport or ID card).
- Consular fees: passport and ID card together cost 127 GBP, while an ID card alone costs 85 GBP for an adult; and 84 GBP– passport and ID card for a child/ pensioneer.
- ESP service fees: passport and ID card together cost 29,50 GBP, and the ID card alone costs 23,60 GBP.
- We will take photos on site. This does not cost extra.
- Payment for services can only be made by bank card.
- Personal documents will be sent via post only.
- Bring 1 prepaid Special Delivery envelope, but if ordering e-certificates together with ID card, please bring 2 prepaid Special Delivery envelopes.
This ESP mobile service provided by VFS Global will be available in Boston and, in the future, other UK cities, on pre-advertised dates only.
