TASTE LITHUANIA IN THE LONDON'S MOST FAMOUS FOOD AND CULINARY FESTIVAL "TASTE OF LONDON"

The UK‘s favourite food event took place in London Regent‘s Park from 20th to 23rd of June to present the best food and drink products from all over the world. For the first time in the festival there was a designate place for the Lithuanian produce - "Taste of Lithuania".

 

"Taste of Lithuania" was organised by the Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce in the United Kingdom, Lithuanian Embassy in London and the leading Lithuanian company Lithuanian Beer Ltd which represents Lithuanian brands of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks ‘Švyturys’ and ‘Stumbras’. Among the presents there were "Žemaitijos Pienas" and its famous "Džiugas" cheese. "Dione" ice-cream and other dairy products, and Lituanica Ltd which represented various Lithuanian products and brands, including "Pieno žvaigždės", "Birštono mineraliniai vandenys", "Estrella", "Jazz Cheescakes", "Route 77 Energy", "Liūtukas ir Ko", "Home Foods", "Kėdainių konservų fabrikas", "Krekenavos agrofirma", "Mažeikių mėsinė", "Dora", and "Dadu".

Lithuanian folk dance group SADUTO and Lithuanian accordionist Martynas Levickis with his band kept visitors in a good mood.

The Lithuanian food and drink companies were greeted by the Ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania Asta Skaisgirytė Liauškienė and the President of the Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce Olga Jachimovic.

"It is a great opportunity for leading Lithuanian food and drink companies to present their high quality products to the British society. I am sure it will lead to even faster growing Lithuanian food and drink export to the UK,” said the ambassador.

 

Taste of London – the greatest food and culinary event that brings the food, wine and restaurant industry all together. Taste of London this year celebrates its 10th anniversary and first time in its history is representing Lithuanian food and drinks from the leading Lithuanian companies. To mark a decade in Regent’s Park this year’s event is expecting to have over 50 000 visitors seeking to try the best food and drink products and dishes from all over the world.
