And Other Stories about themselves:
And Other Stories is an open group of people, and a new independent publisher. We cherish novels and stories that take us elsewhere, yet we know that for publishers relying primarily on retail sales (where margins are very low), such risk-taking writing must often be rejected in the Anglophone market. Our choices are led first and foremost by what we think is good writing and a good way of working.
And Other Stories is about our readers as much as our writers. You can help us identify new writing, shape our growing venture and introduce it to like-minded people. So why not help spread the word and help others enjoy great new fiction by organizing a literary party for friends or joining one of our online reading groups?Join our reading groups online and have your say. The discussion will play a large part in deciding which books And Other Stories should publish next.
Leslie, who is co-ordinating our reading groups, will be happy to help you get hold of the books too, just email her at reading@andotherstories.org.
