Solo & Indrė UK premiere at Songlines Encounters Festival 2017
Solo & Indrė is a fascinating meeting of traditional music cultures and sounds. On 3 June, the international duo comes to London to perform at the prestigious Kings Place Hall. The concert is a part of “Encounters“ festival, organized by one of the biggest and most influential world music magazines “Songlines“.
Young and talented Indrė Jurgelevičiūtė is well known for performing with international band ‘Merope’ and cooperating with Belgian creative platform ‘Granvat’. In her music she harmoniously combines homeland traditions with music of other cultures or modern styles.

Together Solo & Indrė blends Lithuanian and African musical traditions, their sound is spontaneous and natural, sensual and deep. Being considerably new to music industry, Solo & Indrė have already been recognized and well evaluated both by world music professionals and audience – they appeared in various festivals in Europe and US and won in the “World Music Network‘s“ band competition.
Solo & Indrė is produced by a Lithuanian ‘One Root Music’ and the show in London is partially supported by the Lithuanian Institute of Culture.
