Presteigne Festival City Tour 2011

27, 29 September, 7 October, 2011. Presteigne is a small music festival with a big reputation – renowned for its fresh and accessible approach to new music in friendly surroundings. This year the festival has been focusing on contemporary Lithuanian music. After the festival Presteigne Festival Soloists embark on a City Tour 2011 to Cardiff, Bristol and Birmingham.

Feel the buzz of these lunchtime concerts, as five of this year’s Presteigne performers give first chance to hear two freshly-minted new works from this year’s Festival – one of them „Cum Spe“ by the Lithuanian composer Zita Bružaitė. The concert will be rounded with Stravinsky’s devilish little musical fairy-tale „The Soldier‘s Tale“.
