PIANIST KASPARAS UINSKAS RETURNS TO THE WIGMORE HALL
Widely acclaimed pianist Kasparas Uinskas is returning to Wigmore Hall with an electrifying programme of two Romantic giants Chopin and Brahms. Two most complex and powerful sonatas of the Romantic period will reveal two different faces of the epoch. Subtle and dreamy, yet dramatic music of Chopin will be contrasted with a monumental and symphonic world of young Brahms. The concert will take place on Tuesday 15 May at 7:30pm at Wigmore Hall, London.
A charismatic pianist, Uinskas has made a number of highly successful debuts on renowned stages throughout the world, including New York Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, Berlin Philharmonie and Madrid Auditorio Nacional among others.
'It was a great pleasure to play for London audience a year ago and I'm looking forward to meeting this wonderful public again on 15th May, 2012. For my recital at Wigmore Hall, I've prepared virtuosic and romantic program. Romantic music is closest to my heart. It expresses the deepest and most beautiful human emotions and passions. I believe, that every listener will find in these pieces something common and close to them.' - Uinskas says. 'I found a perfect selection for a perfect recital and I look forward to performing these treasures for a distinguished London audience', says Uinskas. Same program Uinskas later will present in Brazil, Belgium, Romania and in other countries.

The Berlin debut of Uinskas was reviewed by Antje Rößler in ̒Klassik in Berlin̓, who noted:'…The debut recital of Lithuanian pianist Kasparas Uinskas was far from another usual piano recital at the rich Berlin’s music scenery… even though it was Uinskas’ debut recital in Berlin, this pianist is far from the beginning point of his artistic journey… his technique leaves nothing left to wish for and his interpretations overcome all expectations...̓
Along with solo performances and collaborations with orchestras, Uinskas performs chamber music as well. He has been a guest soloist of many prestigious music festivals throughout Europe and the US, including the Verbier Music Festival (Switzerland), Holland Music Sessions (Holland), Aspen Music Festival (US), Music Festival of the Hamptons (US), and South Shore Music (US).
