OLYMPIC GAMES NEWS OF 29 JULY

Yesterday's, 28 July, results of the Lithuanian athletes:

Road cycling: G.Bagdonas was 58th and R.Navardauskas 46th.

Gymnastics: on the pommel horse R.Guščinas was 17th among 69 competing athletes.

Rowing: Men's double sculls pair R.Maščinsko ir S. Ritter got into the semifinals and will compete today early in the early afternoon.

Rowing: Women's single scull athlete D.Vištartaitė reached the quarterfinals which will take place on Tuesday, 31 July. Men's single scull rower M.Griškoniui did not get into the semifinals, therefore, he will compete in the repechages for a place in the quarterfinals today.

Swimming: G.Titenis reached the semifinals and after taking the 5th place there will compete in the finals tonight.

 

Here is the schedule of today's, 29 July, games (local time):

Basketball - 10.15pm Lithuania-Argentina

Badminton – 8.30am, 12:30pm and 6:30pm participating A. Stapušaitytė

Boxing - E.Kavaliauskas 69 kg and E.Petrauskas 60 kg 1:30 -4:30pm 8:30am-11:30pm.

Cycling (road) - R.Leleivytė 12:00pm – 4:15pm

Gymnastics – qualification competition L.Švilpaitė 9:30am, 2:45pm and 8:00pm

Rowing - M. Griškonis 9:50am R.Maščinskas+ S.Ritter 9:30am D.Vištartaitė 10:10am

Swimming - R.Meilutytė 11:13-11:33am, the semifinals 7:47-7:55pm. G.Titenis the finals 8.10pm.

 

On 30 July, Monday, the following games are taking place (local BST time):

Badminton – 8.30am, 12:30pm and 6:30om A. Stapušaitytė

Swimming- if she gets into the finals, R.Meilutytė 8:15-8:19pm.

Sailing- G.Scheidt, J.Bernotas and R.Milevičius 12:00-6:00pm.
