New Europe’s musicians in London to have their say against the budding nationalism
14 May, 2009. Babyshambles’ Adam Ficek will be the special guest at the live event “Common Language” at the London 229 venue on Thursday May 14 devoted to speaking out against the rising tides of nationalism, not only in Britain but all across Europe. The Common Language / Bendra Kalba event line-up is set to showcase Britain‘s most exciting new acts, which include members from the new Europe, namely Poland, Slovakia and Lithuania.
The show will be opened by O Titus! - a London based indie / pop band made up of Slovakian and British musicians, which has already been steadily building a reputation for their raucous rock'n'roll live shows.
The Poise Rite is a Polish born and British raised rock’n’roll band who have already played Glastonbury and toured extensively in the UK. Their whole atmosphere can be described as a combination of a number of associations - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Placebo, Queens Of The Stone Age and Interpol.

Agnė Motiečiūtė and Black Diamond Bay
Fronted by Lithuanian singer Agnė Motiečiūtė, Leeds seven piece Black Diamond Bay mix violins and acoustic guitars with synths and an electric drum kit to produce a unique electro-folk sound.
The concert aims to encourage music lovers to vote against BNP / Nazi / European nationalist / racist parties during the upcoming European Parliament elections in June 2009 and portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Love Music Hate Racism initiative.
