“Meno Parkas” Gallery at ART15
In 2014 it was the first time when "Meno Parkas" gallery participated at the ART14. The successful "Meno Parkas" debut encouraged for a comeback, and it was enabled by the international jury that accepted the gallery's proposed project. Like last year, “Meno Parkas" is the only Lithuanian gallery participating in this art forum, while a total of over 150 galleries from 40 countries are participating at the fair his year. From Amman to Amsterdam, New York to New Delhi and Sao Paulo to Seoul, the fair will present art from across the globe.
"Meno Parkas", seeking continuity with the gallery’s participation at ART15 last year, will present artworks by Jonas Gasiūnas and Patricija Gilytė. Additionally, the solid art selection at the gallery's booth will include pieces by Laisvydė Šalčiūtė, Laima Oržekauskienė and Arvydas Žalpys. Visitors will also have an opportunity to watch video works about the artists and their creative processes.
Furthermore, the gallery participated in the contest for a separate project space category, and the jury selected an installation “Consume” (2014) by the artist Kęstutis Svirnelis. It will be exhibited in one of the main passages of the fair.
Therefore, the visitors can expect to see a solid representation of Lithuanian art.
