London premiere of Eglė Vertelytė's 'Miracle'
On the 8th of April, there will be an opportunity to see the London premiere of a Lithuanian filmmaker's Egle Vertelyte debut film Miracle, which will be followed by a Q&A.
About Eglė Vertelytė: the filmmaker has a bachelor‘s degree in History after finishing Vilnius University and has studied Art Studies at Vytautas Magnus University. She continued her studies in European Film College, where she has made her first short films. In Lithuania, she has been working on National Television‘s show about cinema “25th frame” as a director and collaborated with “Studio Nominum” on documentaries. 2009 – 2010 she spent in Mongolia, where she made an internationally recognized documentary “Ub lama”. Together with her colleague creative producer Lukas Trimonis, they have opened a company iN SCRiPT. Eglė has taught in several Lithuanian universities and collaborates as a screenwriter with young directors. Eglė has worked as a sketch writer for a popular prime-time parody TV show “Repeat” in Lithuania, and is currently writing the most popular Lithuanian TV show for kids “Ką pasakė Kakė Makė”.

This film is part of the 'Book&Screen' week at the London Book Fair 2018.
During the ‘Book&Screen’ week there will also be an opportunity to see Knutification – a documentary about a Latvian poet Knuts Skujenieks directed by Ivars Tontegode and November – a film based on Andrus Kivirähk’s novel Rehepapp directed by an Estonian director Rainer Sarnet.
