LITHUANIAN PRESIDENCY OF THE EU COUNCIL PROGRAMME PRESENTED IN BIRMINGHAM

On 5 July 2013 Ambassador of Lithuania to the UK Mrs Asta Skaisgirytė Liauškienė and the delegation are visiting Birmingham.
The programme of the visit includes meetings with the Lord Mayor and the city council officials, business organisations and Aston university. A special attention is laid on the meetings with the Lithuanian community.
During the visit Ambassador will also meet with the Lithuanian participants of the world renowned Birmingham Jazz Festival.
Lithuania‘s role in the Presidency of the EU and Lithuanian priorities for the Presidency will be discussed during these meetings. It is anticipated, that the outcome of this undertakings will further facilitate strenthening of the Lithuanian-UK regional cooperation.
