Lithuania–UK FinTech Bridge Signals a New Era of Strategic FinTech Partnership

On 18 March 2026, a high-level Lithuania–United Kingdom FinTech forum, Lithuania–UK FinTech Bridge: High-Level Institutional and Business Dialogue powered by Revolut, took place at Revolut’s headquarters in London.

The event was organised by the British Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania in cooperation with the Embassy of Lithuania to the United Kingdom and Invest Lithuania.

Held under the Chatham House Rule, the forum provided a platform for open and strategic dialogue on regulatory competitiveness, supervisory innovation, market access, and the evolving dynamics of the UK–EU regulatory landscape. Particular attention was given to Lithuania’s ambition to establish itself as a Tier 1 FinTech jurisdiction for global financial institutions. The forum brought together around 200 senior representatives from financial institutions, regulators and FinTech companies from both Lithuania and the United Kingdom. It was the largest and most significant Lithuanian-organised FinTech event in the history of bilateral relations, reflecting a decade of steadily strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

The event was opened by H.E. Asta Radikaitė, Ambassador of Lithuania to the United Kingdom, who emphasised that Lithuania and the United Kingdom are natural partners in the FinTech sector, united by openness to innovation, a forward-looking regulatory environment, and a shared ambition to build a modern financial ecosystem. “Lithuania is not only a hub for innovation — it is also home to one of the happiest FinTech workforces in the world,” the Ambassador noted. She also drew attention to the symbolic significance of the venue — Revolut’s headquarters in London. The journey of this globally recognised financial technology company began in Lithuania nearly a decade ago, and Lithuania has since become a key part of its growth and expansion within the European Union. The forum also featured welcoming remarks by the Vice-Minister of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania, Janus Kizenevič.

Panel discussions featured Marius Skuodis, Colin Payne, Head of Innovation at the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Adam Gagen, Global Head of Government Affairs at Revolut, Nicholas Taylor, Director of External Affairs at Checkout.com, Andy Stewart, VP of Engineering at Tide, Marius Galdikas, Co-Founder of ConnectPay, Hristina Naneva, CFO at ZEN.COM, Justinas Lasevičius, Co-Founder of TransferGO, and Gintarė Trukšnytė, Deputy CEO at Paystrax Ltd and Group Chief Compliance & Legal Officer.
