Lithuania remembers her struggle for freedom 20 years ago

11 and 13 January, 2011. From January to August 1991, and in particular on 8-13 January, the Lithuanian people withstood the Soviet aggression and secured their Homeland’s freedom only by the strength of mind and the spirit of truth. Unarmed Lithuania fought not only for its right to be a free, independent and democratic state but also for the victory of the fundamental values of democracy throughout Europe.
