LITHUANIA PRAISED FOR PUBLIC SERVICES INFRASTRUCTURE DURING THE OPEN GOVERNMENT PARTNERSHIP SUMMIT IN LONDON
On 31 October Ambassador Asta Skaisgirytė Liauškienė took part in the Open Government Partnership (OGP) Summit, organised by the British Government.
„Lithuania, with its word pioneering ICT infrastructure is committed to further develop the quality of public services by capitalising on the new technologies and the best management practices“, in her speech said the Lithuanian Ambassador.
More than 1000 participants took part in the Summit in London with almost 60 countries being represented. A special focus was directed to Lithuania as a country which achieved exemplary e-government solutions in its use of information technologies and telecommunications. OGP was launched in 2011 and this year the UK and Indonesia are co-chairing the conference.
