Leon Somov and Jazzu Offline Project in London

19, 21 June 2008. An exquisite brand of Lithuanian electronica created by the producer Leon Somov (ex-Inculto) together with the Milky Lasers’ vocalist Justė Arlauskaitė, also known as Jazzu soon will be heard in London on two stages. Live set with 3 more musicians (Ido Tavori - guitars, Domas Aleksa - Bass, Marius Aleksa – drums) will play on 19th of June in the Betsey Trotwood club and on the 21st of June the band will take part at the Exhibition Road Music Festival, an open Serpentine Gallery and The Royal Parks stage.

The main ingredients of this refined music are elaborate IDM-like beats and bleeps, elegant synth lines, subtle washes of atmospheric pads and Jazzu’s breezy, summery voice. The musicians are working together for four years creating idm, ambient, electronic, minimalist music. Two years ago their first E.P. was released by sutemos.net who were noted to have said "The word "amazed" for the feelings we had while listening to Offline EP is just a poor expression of what we really felt - we were more than enchanted by this music so we couldn't not afford not releasing it on our net label."

The EP was very successful and listeners wanted more so a remix of it has been released this year. The fact that the tracks of Leon Somov have been remixed by such artists as Michael Fakesch (ex Funkstorung), Deadbeat, Marsen Jules (he produced a remix for Depeche Mode not so long ago), Joel Tammik, tells about the quality of their music much more than an hour of the fiction.

With a video already being paylisted on Baltic MTV, these guys aren't getting tired. They still have many ideas and have started to work on their new album and live performance with their live band: Marijus Aleksa (drums), Domas Aleksa (bass), Ido Tavori (guitar).

The concerts are organized in collaboration with the Lithuanian Embassy in the UK and the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture.
