LEADING EXHIBITORS FROM LITHUANIA AT PAYEXPO 2013
The UK’s only dedicated payments innovation event, PayExpo 2013, was hosted in the Excel exhibition and convention centre on the 18th and 19th of June this year. Five companies from Lithuania – Datacard, FIS Global, Visa, Virecard Card Solutions and Etronika – presented their innovative technologies solutions. ETRONIKA, the winner of the Best of Show title at FinovateEurope 2013, was proud to present its award-winning holistic, multichannel online banking product BANKTRON®, along with their mobile banking and smart retail solutions.
The Lithuanian companies were greeted by the Ambassador of Lithuania, Asta Skaisgirytė Liauškienė, and Lithuanian Commercial Attaché Andrius Nikitinas.
‘Innovative payment solutions have a great impact on the export of Lithuanian services’, - Ambassador said. ‘The new e-commerce solutions, mobile money services and contactless technologies will dictate changes in the way that we transact. They make money transactions faster and easier by making them available at any time, any country using any coin or currency’.
PayExpo 2013 is the biggest gathering of forward thinking financial institutions, mobile operators, retailers, transport operators, gaming operators and service providers in the UK and one of the largest anywhere in Europe. More than 2 000 payments professionals took part in this event. Payments markets gathered to showcase latest technologies, leading case studies and examples from the world’s largest brands, showing how to give to the new brand a competitive advantage.
