Johanna Glaza to perform in London and album release

Johanna Glaza is a Lithuanian born London-based artist who’s been intriguing critics and fans alike since her debut as front woman of cult alt-band Joana and the Wolf. With her bewitching voice and engaging melodies Johanna is a unique and captivating performer whose baroque folk songs seethe with character and mystery. 19 September Johanna comes to London to perform at ‘The Finsbury‘ pub.

In 2011 Johanna moved to New York, and began concentrating on her solo work. She started winning critical acclaim with the release of her first EP, Silence is Kind in late 2013, followed by another equally lauded EP, Letter to New York the following year. Her later release was the beautiful single, Paper Widow in December 2014, which Clash concluded was “another glimpse of songwriting coming into full bloom…”  They are sure to capture the ears of anyone who likes anything in the spectrum set out by the likes of Bjork and Joanna Newsom. Her debut album Wind Sculptures is out September 29.

19 September Johanna Glaza at „The Finsbury“, 336 Green Lanes, N4 1BY London.
