D'Orange plays gigs at the London jazz clubs
February 14, 15, 2009. "Youth. Perseverance. Musicianship. Craft. The group mixes its 'orangy' musical cocktails by adding splashes of jazz, funk, hip-hop, soul and fusion, and serves them fresh and sparkling to the audiences." - writes jazz critic Jūratė Kučinskaitė about the jazz band d'Orange. In the middle of February the band will play two gigs at the Mau Mau Club in Notting Hill and Charlie Wright's International Bar.

Domas Aleksa formed D'Orange in 2004, with a strong rhythmic core made of his bass guitar and his brother, Marijus Aleksa, on drums. This tandem of the Aleksa brothers has lately assumed a somewhat pivotal role in many musical acts of the younger generation: their grooves and riffs can also be heard in concerts of many inventive acid jazz, nu jazz and rock music concerts. Other members of the band are guitarist Eduardas Armonas and saxophone player Aleksandrs Raičenoks. The Estonian singer Sofia Rubina frequently joins the group in their performances.
D'Orange has played at all the major Lithuanian and Baltic jazz festivals - Kaunas Jazz Festival (Lithuania), Tudengi Jazz Festival (Estonia), Rigas Ritmi Jazz Festival (Latvia), Muhu Jazz Festival (Estonia), Ventspils Jazz Festival (Latvia), JazzKarr Jazz Festival (Estonia) and have also played in Poland and Russia.
