CELEBRATION OF THE 95th ANNIVERSARY OF THE RESTORATION OF LITHUANIAN INDEPENDENCE
On 14th February 2013, the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in the UK held a celebration event to mark the 95th Anniversary of the Restoration of Lithuanian Independence. Throughout the years, special link between the UK and Lithuania has developed and can be seen in array of cultural, educational, economic and military cooperation between the countries.
Witnesses of this long-term British-Lithuanian relationship were present at the Embassy and included prominent politicians, diplomats, representatives of the government, culture, academia, non for profit organisations and media. The Ambassador of Lithuania commended everyone involved in strengthening the links between Lithuanian and the UK and encouraged deeper cooperation in the most challenging and exciting venture of the 2013 - Lithuania’s Presidency of the European Union.
