Baltic Way 30th Anniversary
The Inimitable Baltic Way - a chain of 2 million people, 600 km long, connecting Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia 30 years ago. The purpose of this peaceful political demonstration was to show that the aspirations for freedom and democracy in the Baltic countries were never quenched, that the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was meaningless to the people who wanted their countries to be independent. Let us look again at this significant moment in history, when the world clearly heard the words of a strong and united Baltic.
On 24 August (Saturday) the Baltic Council in Great Britain invites everyone to commemorate #Balticway30 in London's Hyde Park. More information --> https://www.facebook.com/events/471960236716790/
