ASU in Lithuania and Newcastle university explors the new means of collaboration
On 10 -11 April 2013 the Lithuanian Ambassador Mrs Asta Skaisgirytė Liauškienė and Aleksandras Stulginskis University Rector Professor Antanas Maziliauskas visited Newcastle University where they met with the Deputy Vice Chancellor Professor Ella Ritchie. During the meeting the long standing connections between Newcastle university and Lithuania were remembered and new avenues of cooperation explored.
Professor A. Maziliauskas also held meetings with Professor Richard Dawson, Director of Centre for Earth Systems Engineering Research, and Dr Alan Younger from the School of Agriculture, Food and Rural Development.
„This is a great opportunity to forge closer links with the Newcastle agricultural institutions and share experiences in applying innovations in the agricultural sector“, said the Ambassador.
