Ambassador visits Peterborough

June 17, 2016. The Lithuanian Ambassador Asta Skaisgirytė paid a visit to Peterborough, East Anglia. During her visit the diplomat met with Lord Mayor of Peterborough David Sanders. She also attended meetings with local administration officers and NGOs representatives who work in the field of Community cohesion and safety.

The Lithuanian Ambassador expressed her willingness to cooperate closely with the Peterborough authorities to accommodate the needs of the Lithuanian community.

“There is a strong Lithuanian Community in Peterborough. We aim to work together with local authorities to ensure that the voice of the Lithuanian Community is heard and its needs are addressed”, Ambassador Asta Skaisgirytė said.

Before returning to London, the Ambassador met with the representatives of the Peterborough Lithuanian community.
