Ambassador visits Liverpool
The Lithuanian Ambassador to the UK Asta Skaisgirytė Liauškienė has started her visit to Liverpool. On March 12, 2015 the diplomat met with the representatives of Merseyside Sheds - the Northwest’s leading manufacturer and supplier of garden sheds and log cabins. The Liverpool-based company has been successfully cooperating with its Lithuanians partners for a number of years and was encouraged to further facilitate its links with the Baltic country.
During her visit the Ambassador also met with the Lord Mayor of Liverpool Cllr Erica Kemp, visited Liverpool Central Library and was hosted by the representatives of Liverpool University”.
“Liverpool is an important industrial city in the North – West. I met the Merseysiders with a view to strengthening our cooperation; to introduce Lithuania as an investment destination”, ambassador Asta Skaisgirytė Liauškienė said.
The diplomat’s visit was concluded with a meeting with the Lithuanian students studying at the University of Liverpool.
