AMBASSADOR OF LITHUANIA PRESENTED EU PRESIDENCY PRIORITIES AT THE INTERNATIONAL FORUM ON RESPONSIBLE BANKING AND FINANCE
On 24 June the Lithuanian Ambassador to the UK Asta Skaisgirytė Liauškienė presented Lithuanian priorities for the EU Presidency at the Second International Forum on Responsible Banking and Finance, organised at well renowned CASS Business School in the City of London.
Heads of British banking associations, experts and executives from banks BNP Paribas, Lloyds, UBS, insurance company AVIVA took part in the discussions.
In her speech the Ambassador presented Lithuania’s particular interest in ensuring economic and financial stability of the Eurozone and the whole European Union as well as in growing and strengthening trust of the European financial institutions. “Issues related to creation of the EU banking union, regulation of the insurance market, markets in financial instruments directive, fight against money laundering will be very important during the second half of this year”, said the Ambassador.
