15th Anniversary of re-establishment of diplomatic relationship

During the meeting with British-Lithuanian Society, ambassador Ušackas said, that Lithuanians are honored and eagerly looking forward to the first ever State visit of The Queen Elisabeth II to Vilnius October 16-18th, 2006. “The visit of The Queen will be truly historical moment, which will contribute towards better awareness about Lithuania in the United Kingdom”, noted Vygaudas Ušackas.

He also stressed that his key priorities in the new job will be to promote bilateral economic and political ties as well as to outreach to the increased Lithuanian community in Great Britain.
