Lithuania's Foreign Minister Landsbergis to attend the Foreign Affairs Council
On 18 July, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis will attend the Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels, Belgium. The meeting will focus on Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, relations between the EU, Latin America and the Caribbean, and digital diplomacy.
Ministers will discuss the situation in Ukraine, the continued provision of military and financial support to Ukraine, as well as joint actions with third countries to address global consequences of Russia's war and to promote accountability for Russia’s war crimes and human rights violations. Ministers will also discuss the agenda for Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction and reforms related to Ukraine's European perspective.
Ministers will exchange views on the strengthening of the EU’s political engagement in Latin America and the Caribbean, and the importance of trade agreements with the countries of the region. The Council will also discuss the EU’s digital diplomacy and cooperation with our partners in this area.
