30 September, 2010. The trio Mockūno NuClear (reeds, keyboard, perc) is made up of young yet experienced Lithuanian jazz musicians who have been playing together for several years. Original music composed by Liudas Mockūnas and Dmitrij Golovanov drives through the landscape of free improvisation, jazz, heavy rock and punk. On the 30th September, on their way to Brugge Jazz Festival, Mockūno NuClear will play a gig at the Charlie Wrights International.

23 and 26 September, 2010. Isolde has dominated Violeta Urmana's professional life for the last few months. After the concert performances of the second act at the BBC Proms and in Baden-Baden with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment under Sir Simon Rattle, Urmana comes back in September for a few performances with the Philharmonia Orchestra of London. Under the direction of Esa-Pekka Salonen, she will be Isolde in a semi-staged production in Birmingham and London. The installations by video artist Bill Viola, who attracted attention in 2005 with his visualisation of Wagner's opera in Paris, will provide a fascinating optical frame to this musical event.

18 September - 28 November, 2010. Vartai Gallery announces Vilnius’ participation in the 6th Liverpool Biennial project <CityStates> in collaboration with the Contemporary Urban Centre. It is a series of international exhibitions exploring the cultural dynamic between cities and states to which Vartai Gallery responds with the exhibition City Without Walls presenting four contemporary Lithuanian artists: Laura Garbštienė, Žilvinas Kempinas, Žilvinas Landzbergas and S&P Stanikas.

6 September - 8 October, 2010. After a successful show at the St Martin-in-the-Fields Gallery in May, the photography exhibition Urban Clones: from emotion to reality will be open from 6 September to 8 October at the Lithuanian Embassy in London. The exhibition reveals emotional and factual connections between the cities of two countries - the United Kingdom and Lithuania. 12 participants of the exhibition created their clones specifically for this project.
