On 27 September, the first meeting of the Japan-Baltic Cooperation Dialogue in a 3 + 1 format was held in Vilnius. The meeting was attended by Mitsunari Okamoto, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Neris Germanas, Andris Pelšs, State Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia and Rainer Saks, Secretary General of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia.
On 27 September, the Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Neris Germanas met with Mitsunari Okamoto, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan. The delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan came to Lithuania for the first meeting of the Japan-Baltic Cooperation Dialogue.

On 2 August, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius met with the United States congressional, which was headed by Hal Rogers, Chairman of the State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Subcommittee of the United States House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations. The meeting focused on the Lithuania-U.S. cooperation in response to Russian threat, sanctions, energy security, and support for the spread of democracy.

The online accreditation for journalists and media workers to attend the events during Pope Francis’ apostolic visit to Lithuania opens on 30 July. The deadline for online application is 13 August. The accreditation process will be carried out only online. The application form will be launched on our website on 30 July.
The fifth Vilnius Russia Forum will be held on 24-25 May. The traditional event brings together more than 100 politicians, civil society representatives, human rights defenders, academicians, journalists from Russia, Lithuania, and other Western countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania allocated €20 000 in humanitarian aid for Palestinian refugees. The contribution will be transferred to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
